Youth Scholarships Information

GREATER HARRISBURG UNITED STATES BOWLING CONGRESS
SCHOLARSHIP INFORMATION AND APPLICATION


The Annual GHUSBC Scholarship is awarded to a GHUSBC Youth member who achieves academic success and gives back to the community.  One (1) male and one (1) female will be selected to receive a $1,000.00 scholarship which will be managed through the USBC’s SMART Program.  Eligibility:  Applicants must be in their senior year of high school and be a GHUSBC Youth member in good standing.  Candidates must also have a current GPA of 2.0 or better, based on a 4.0 scale, and have not competed in a professional bowling tournament (Pro-Am’s are excluded).  Applicants must compete in at least one of the two annual tournaments sponsored by the GHUSBC. The application must include at least one letter of reference and your current high school transcript (official or unofficial).  If additional space is required for any responses on the application, please put your additional responses on an 8-½" by 11" sheet of paper and attach it to the application form. The GHUSBC Committee reserves the right to reject any or all applications.  Should applications not be received from both male and female bowlers, the Committee reserves the right to award two (2) scholarships to either two (2) females or two (2) male bowlers.
